This is as close to the luau dip as I can find. I think I just improvised it with less fat, using half & half and sesame oil.
Try cutting ingredients in half.
I'm pretty sure I used these measurements:
1 1/8 c light beer
1 t salt
2 T (walnut) oil
3 c bread flour
1/4 c wheat pastry flour
2 T white sugar
2 t yeast
I added them in that order, to buffer the salt from the yeast. I set the machine for medium crust. Darker would have worked, since the bottom was a bit damp.
possibly add squash
I'd blanch them with the beans, especially if they feel hard like asparagus.
try a half batch
less butter than most; works with less sugar. also consider adding spices
Made this with Bob's Red Mill GF flour, Earth Balance vegan butter, and raisins (with real eggs). Turned out excellent.
