Some municipalities in Southern California had their own bike share systems outside of the territory of Metro Bike Share, but many of them worked with the TAP system. They (at one time?) were grouped together under the name Bike Share Connect.
West Hollywood: WeHo Pedals (seems defunct)
Santa Monica: Breeze Bike Share, folded and partially shifted to Beverly Hills system
(Lyft was supposed to have bike rentals in Santa Monica in late 2020.)
Beverly Hills: also defunct
Bruin Bike Share: defunct, seems to have been folded into Metro Bike

You can use the BCycle app if you have a TAP account but "don't already have a TAP card", but you can use Metro Bike and Bike Share Connect [defunct] with a TAP card by setting up separate accounts then linking them to " be interoperable".
