This style is the only kind recommended for compact hatchbacks, and would look good on a sedan, even with the bars on, empty. The rails would be very subtle by themselves, if the bars are removable.

Since it's just a relay and uses an Internet service, it seems like it would be easy to replace with GPIO or a Z-Wave relay, and linking it to Vera or OpenHAB. Or, maybe just an authenticated web login?
Can this be mounted in the wall? Is it legal for UPS/etc to use it?
