XBMC for Linux doesn't support any hardware accelleration as of this writing! Weird, because I thought that was what the CrystalHD thing was for, and now I wonder what they did to make the Boxxee box keep up.

Linux-based surveillance NVR
Meant for watching media on a PS3, but it's just a DLNA server with built-in transcoding.
Not sure if this has GPS, but you can get USB host adapters to use a keyboard, 3G dongle, external drive, and so on. And it might be even better if you can root it...
