It would be easy to add a line-in jack. I'm not sure how hard it would be to add a rechargeable battery. One option would be to make it accept batteries from Milwaukee or Ryobi power tools.
This analyzes the ability to copyright a map, but doesn't seem to include the classic myth of intentional flaws/errors.
Is it too good to be true? I could do this, and add the ZigBee-capable hub later.
