It seems you install the "google authenticator" modules, but are able to use other third-party 2-factor apps like Authy with the same server config, and it doesn't go through Google.
I'll have to see what the free software can do on Linux by itself. Then the question is whether to try ZoneMinder or drop $200 on a CloudKey Gen2.
