Since it's just a relay and uses an Internet service, it seems like it would be easy to replace with GPIO or a Z-Wave relay, and linking it to Vera or OpenHAB. Or, maybe just an authenticated web login?
Can Google Authenticator on a phone require or unlock with an NFC key at all?
Looks like Uptodown and Amazon are worth trying.

Too bad it's a Sony, but this is my kind of phone. Don't think it can do 3G in the US, but it might work on AT&T... that might be enough to make me look at a Nokia instead to replace the Nuron.
